Cultural intelligence at Reddit

Lore Oxford (she/her) is an interdisciplinary researcher, forecaster and strategist, currently working at Reddit, where she decodes the cultures and communities that are grown on the platform.

With 10+ years experience in brand consulting and a focus on trends and futures, she’s worked with multinationals across industries – including Apple, Google, adidas, Fidelity, Pepsi, Volvo and more – to unearth cutting edge insights that inform more impactful digital communications. Her work has been covered by BBC News, Campaign, Vice, Vogue for Business, Vox, and more.

She’s especially interested in understanding the architecture of online communities, the onboarding of, and hype cycles around, emerging technologies, and the juxtaposition between desires for a digitally-enhanced society and a society in-sync.

session description

With Gen Z and Gen Alpha leading the charge, online communities are filling knowledge gaps that a crisis in social skills is widening. How can organisations apply the new rules of social learning to not only create more value for consumers, but for their internal culture, too? Join Lore in the Learning How to Learn session to explore the shifting landscape around social learning, and what brands can do today and in the future to nurture social literacy and protect socially-learned knowledge.
